other chilly delights
when i told friends that keith and i went fishing the other day, people said things like "hmmmmmm...neither of you seem like the type to go, um, fishing"
so i thought i'd better provide proof that i am as much of a tomboy as an exhibitionist...and that we rtfm types are indeed loony enough to get in a boat at 5:30 in the morning in freezing (yes, freezing, even in the bay area! there was ice on the docks! we froze our socks off!) temperatures to chase after silly fishes...
catching my own dinner reminds me to say thank you to my food for getting in my belly...and besides, rainbow trout is yummy!!! we caught three nice fishies, but i won't bore you with the story of the one that got away...

hear hear--fishing is for everyone mad enough to get out onto freezing cold water with a rod of wood and some wormies on the end.and there are plenty of us around!! yummy fishies compensate adequately for cold fingers, lost 'whoppers' and having worm goo on your hands....
